The idea for this product was hatched 25 years ago in the forests of northern Minnesota where it seems that from the snow melt to first killing frost almost every insect that you encounter bites. I was on a project where we were out in the forests all day and because of the nature of the project we could not use any store bought repellents. So we used some of the plants in the forest and they would work pretty well by rubbing them on our skin and clothes. The leading brands of repellent use an ingredient known as DEET. DEET is a chemical that if you get it on some types of nylon, it can melt it. Now if it melts nylon, how can it be good on human skin? Thus the need for a truly natural product.
Our product does not have that famous Citronella in it, but instead has a number of other harder to get, more effective, natural oils and herbs that repel insects. The great thing is that it really works. It has been tested in Alaska, in Oklahoma, and of course all over Minnesota (Mosquito Heaven). It will last up to 500 pumps because it is non aerosol.
We have also included some oils that are very seldom used but that are very effective in repelling the insects that carry West Nile, and also Tick and Chiggers. It can be applied to either skin or clothes. Of course like any repellent you need to keep it out of your eyes.
It will also work well on your dogs, horses, or any outdoor pets.
